The opening ceremony at the 2024 Paris Olympics delivered in many ways.

And one of those was Celine Dion.

Making her highly anticipated appearance at the Summer Olympics in Paris, Dion provided the cherry on top to what is being considered one of the best opening ceremonies in Olympic recent history — while officially kicking off the Paris Games.

Friday's performance by Dion inside the Eiffel Tower — her first public appearance since announcing she is dealing with stiff-person syndrome — resulted in high emotions by viewers. Among them: Kelly Clarkson, on NBC's opening ceremony broadcast. The country music star was notably emotional on the broadcast, calling Dion "a vocal athlete."

Considering Dion has not performed in public in quite some time, on top of how beloved she is among her fans, her performance at the 2024 Paris Olympics opening ceremony received quite a positive reaction on social media.
