    Off-duty New York City school safety agent arrested in Manhattan: NYPD

    NEW YORK (PIX11) — A school safety agent was arrested in Manhattan on Friday morning, according to police.

    Sylvia Brown, 54, was taken into custody just before 12 p.m.

    The off-duty New York City employee was charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property, authorities report.

    The details on what led to Brown’s arrest was not immediately made clear.
