ComingSoon is giving away 50 tickets to the premiere New York City screening of The Instigators, which is being held in Manhattan at 7:30 p.m. ET on July 31, 2024. The heist comedy is directed by Doug Liman and stars Matt Damon and Casey Affleck.

What is The Instigators about?

“Rory (Damon) and Cobby (Affleck) are reluctant partners: a desperate father and an ex-con thrown together to pull off a robbery of the ill-gained earnings of a corrupt politician,” reads the synopsis. “But when the heist goes wrong, the two find themselves engulfed in a whirlwind of chaos, pursued not only by police, but also backwards bureaucrats and vengeful crime bosses. Completely out of their depth, they convince Rory’s therapist (Hong Chau) to join their riotous getaway through the city, where they must put aside their differences and work together to evade capture—or worse.”

The film is directed by Doug Liman from a screenplay written by Affleck and Chuck MacLean. The ensemble cast also includes Hong Chau, Michael Stuhlbarg, Paul Walter Hauser, Ving Rhames, Alfred Molina, and Toby Jones, with Jack Harlow and Ron Perlman. It is produced by Damon, Ben Affleck, Jeff Robinov, John Graham, Kevin J. Walsh, and Alison Winter, with Celia Costas, Dani Bernfeld, Kevin Halloran, Michael Joe, Cynthia Dahlgren, and Luciana Damon set as executive producers.

The Instigators is set to receive a limited theatrical release in the United States on August 2, 2024, before making its Apple TV+ streaming debut on August 9, 2024.
