New York City Subway Singer Shocks Passersby With Soulful Sam Cooke Cover

We all need some inspiration from time to time, and when we do, it can come from the most unlikely of places.

New Yorkers are used to street performers and often go about their businesses without giving them a second glance. But sometimes, what they see and hear is too good to pass up, so they stop and give the performer a chance.

Mike Yung’s incredible subway singing has gone viral multiple times, and people can’t get enough of his soulful voice. Millions have viewed his performances of the Righteous Brothers’ Unchained Melody and Sam Cook’s A Change Gonna Come, and the feedback has been incredible.

Mike’s version of A Change Gonna Come is powerful, and a video posted on YouTube shows how his passion and voice touched even the busiest New Yorkers. People stopped to listen, and one woman even grabbed Mike to hug him and thank him for sharing his gift.

The people in the comments noticed the embrace, and one person wrote, “He couldn’t even sing no more that after that hug. I love this so much brings tears to my eyes.”
