Christie Brinkley Shares ‘Enchanting’ View From Seaside Excursion With Her Kids

Christie Brinkley could have you believing she's yachting somewhere off the coast of Europe with her latest online post, but after further inspection, it appears she's still at home in New York.

Earlier this week, the supermodel teased that she had found some time to take a "break" from the competitiveness of athletics while supposedly in Paris for the 2024 Olympics to enjoy a few moments in nature with two of her adult children. The montage of clips Brinkley shared to Instagram on Monday also featured her daughter Alexa Ray Joel , whom she shares with ex Billy Joel , and son Jack Brinkley-Cook .

"Took a break from the Paris Olympics ( so exciting right?) …for Dinner and a Show starring Mother Nature!" she joked in the caption of her July 29 upload. "Mmm c’est bon! ⚓️🛟🥇#summer #boat."

The video montage begins with Alexa, 38, and Jack, 29, in the frame alongside two other guests who Brinkley identified as actor Ryan Gleason –who is engaged to Alexa–and media executive Michael Atmore . It then takes viewers through the groups' day on the water, showcasing the blue-green waters, sandy coastline and stunning sunset before cutting to a clip of people fishing from the shore, followed by the appearance of what looks to be an old, decrepit building–unless you're familiar with the Cedar Island Lighthouse , a historical landmark located off the northern shore of East Hampton.

Many of her followers fell for the bait, wishing her well on her "overseas" adventure and sharing comments like, "Are you in Paris?" and, "Paris my ancestors!!" Some even asked her to meet them at specific venues in the city after the games.

But unfortunately for fans in France, it looks as though Brinkley didn't travel too far from her permanent residence on the celebrity-studded east end of Long Island.

Her close friends even appeared to be uncertain of her actual location, with one writing, "Well you’ve certainly earned the right to exhale whenever possible my hardworking pal! Love the entire crew on this enchanting voyage! 👌💙⚓️🥂🥰," to which the 70-year-old model replied, "we all wished you were with us!"
