Suri Cruise spitting image of her mom Katie as she's seen hanging out with friends

Suri Cruise , who now goes by Suri Noelle, was all smiles while she was out and about in New York City on Wednesday, July 31, with some friends.

Suri was the spitting image of her mother, Katie Holmes , as she walked around with friends. She kept it casual during the outing, wearing a dark gray off-the-shoulder form-fitting shirt, and paired it with zebra pattern pants and brown shoes.

The resemblance to the Dawson's Creek alum is uncanny, and as she grows up, Suri looks more and more like her mom did when she first started her Hollywood career.

While Suri has kept away from the spotlight, the 18-year-old has been spotted recently in NYC, including on the night of her high school senior prom in June. The now LaGuardia High School graduate wore a patterned bodice-style, high-low gown and paired it with gold high heels.

Now that she has graduated high school, Suri is set to attend Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, PA in the fall. Katie and Suri have lived in NYC for years but the teen’s father, Tom Cruise , is not part of her life. He did not attend her high school graduation and was spotted in London at a Taylor Swift concert the same weekend.

Page Six has reported that the father-daughter duo has not seen each other in years and that he currently has "no part" in her life. The distance between them even drove Suri to drop the Cruise last name, opting to use her mom's middle name, Noelle, instead.

Tom and Katie met in 2005 and welcomed Suri in April 2006. They got married seven months later in November 2006. In June 2012, Katie filed for divorce after six years of marriage. She was granted primary custody of their daughter while the Mission Impossible star was given visitation rights.

Tom's ties to Scientology have been reported as the reason why he has distanced himself from his child but the actor stated in an interview that divorce can make things difficult. "You have to ask for permission and organize schedules to make things happen," he said in an interview in 2013. "So it's not an ideal situation."
