Fans Have 'Flashbacks' as Carrie Underwood Performs on 'GMA' Stage in Tiny Denim Shorts

Carrie Underwood delighted Good Morning America viewers this morning with a live version of her breakup anthem "Before He Cheats," but her powerful performance isn't the only thing fans can't stop talking about .

The 41-year-old gave onlookers a spectacular show as part of GMA 's Summer Concert Series at Rumsey Playfield in Central Park on Aug. 2, wearing a dazzling ensemble that put her perfectly toned legs on display. Her festive number featured a multi-color blazer embroidered with a floral pattern of rhinestones, a tiny pair of jean shorts and knee-high denim boots.

As for how she accessorized, Underwood added a pair of sparkly hot pink earrings, a rainbow rhinestone belt and just a few rings. She completed Friday's look with a full face of light and airy glam and styled her long blonde hair in loose beach waves.

Fans appeared just as impressed with her fashion and chiseled muscles as they were by her passionate performance.

"Carrie Underwood on GMA this morning was the motivation I needed to get my butt up and do some leg workouts," one X (formerly Twitter) user quipped.

"Carrie Underwood was just on @GMA Mercy, I just had a flashback with this song," another joked , adding a link to the official music video for her 2006 hit. "Happy Friday."

"YES!" a third simply wrote before adding a few emojis highlighting the singer's strength.

It's been a pretty exciting week for the Grammy winner, who, only yesterday, was confirmed to be returning to her roots and replacing Katy Perry as a judge on the upcoming season of American Idol . One day prior, the country crooner revealed she would also be extending her residency in Las Vegas .
