Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck may be close to a breakup, but J.Lo doesn’t seem ready to part ways with her multi-million dollar engagement ring.
On Thursday the Waiting for Tonight singer was caught out in New York City at the Cats: The Jellicle Ball. While she was out and about she was spotted wearing a fashion-forward ensemble consisting of a floral print dress accessorized with a red purse and, of course, some bling. Rather than the ring being a fashionable expression of her and Ben’s , 51, marital commitment, the 55-year-old singer-songwriter just wore it like another piece of jewelry since she had it on the opposite hand.
Sitting on her right ring finger was the huge emerald gemstone the Batman actor asked for her hand in marriage.

It’s not uncommon for the Atlas star to don her ring, but she rarely ever swaps which hand she has it on. Jennifer boldly doing so could be her indirectly confirming that she and Ben are about to end their relationship. Where there is smoke there is fire, and as of late, there have been rumors that the two A-listers were in the process of finalizing their divorce.
After these claims surfaced, the multi-hyphenate entertainer was spotted looking solemn in a pizza restaurant this past Saturday following Ben being absent at her 55th birthday party. Jennifer had on a white T-shirt that she tucked into her beige pants, styling her hair in a slicked-back bun with hoop earrings on her ears and brown lens sunglasses on her face.
The mom-of-two was with one female friend and two male friends at the pizza joint. As they were waiting to order, Jennifer was on the phone, appearing to be having a serious conversation given her serious facial expression.
Photos of her hanging out surfaced after a source revealed to the Daily Mail that her and Ben's divorce documents "are finalized, but not yet turned in." The source added: "They finalized the divorce papers with her a month ago, but are waiting for the right time to drop them. At that time, they will release a joint statement that will say how they have much love for each other and how they fought to make it work, but couldn't."
One other source claimed: "Honestly, in the end they could not come to a compromise. What they had before is gone and they have both accepted it."
