Blake Lively Embraces Country Vibes in Denim and Leather Chaps

Blake Lively continues to pull out all the stops with her fashion choices.

The blond bombshell stepped out in New York City this week during another press day for her upcoming film It Ends With Us , and per usual, her top-tier fashion sense was on full display.

As seen in photos of Lively snapped on Monday, Aug. 5, the 36-year-old actress was dressed in a skin-tight red leather bodysuit tucked into medium-wash denim jeans. She also wore a beige oversized sweater that draped off her shoulders and sat around her elbows.

Lively may have been walking the streets of NYC, but she appeared to channel some country vibes with Monday's fun and flirty look featuring black leather chaps.

The chaps featured a distinctive touch, with intricate floral detailing reaching across the material at Lively's hips.

It's no surprise that the Gossip Girl alum incorporated some florals into her look, as she has been wearing a lot of florals lately in honor of her It Ends With Us character. The new film, based on Colleen Hoover 's best-selling novel of the same title, stars Lively as flower shop owner Lily Bloom.

And it's not Lively's first time taking inspiration from her on-screen characters for her press day 'fits,nsomething she started doing while promoting her 2018 film A Simple Favor .

"I'm so excited method dressing is such a thing now because years ago when I did A Simple Favor , people were like, 'Why are you dressing like your character? Why are you in suits?'" Lively recently told People in reference to her character in the film.

"And I was like, because we have no marketing money to promote this movie. It's a small movie and the only thing people really pay attention to at these junket interviews is the photos of fashion so if I just wear men's suits, people are going to go, 'Why is she just wearing suits?'" she continued.

"And then they're going to go, 'Oh, because she's in a movie and she's wearing men's suits.' It's a marketing hack to try to get people to pay attention to our movie. And it worked."

It Ends With Us hits theaters on Friday, Aug. 9.
