Blake Lively admits to wearing underwear inside out causing her to repeat outfit

Blake Lively did what many celebrities do not do, repeat an outfit, but with good reason .

The It Ends With Us actress was seen in the streets on New York City on Monday, August 5 wearing a see-through jeweled top with a light pink bra layered under, light blue jeans with her Versace pink underwear band showing and open toed heels that matched both the bra and underwear. Her hair was styled down, the Blake way.

A video surfaced of Blake meeting fans outside and revealing that she wore the outfit the day before but she realized that she was wearing her underwear inside out. Instead of the band being pink, it was black.

She said: "I wore this yesterday but I wore my underwear inside out. I wore it wrong and I can't do that to Versace so this is round two of the outfit... It's too good and disrespectful to them. They're black inside out and I was in a hurry."

Blake made up for it when she woah'ed people wearing Britney Spears' 2002 vintage Versace dress to the It Ends With Us premiere at the AMC Lincoln Square Theater on Tuesday, August 6 in New York City. It Ends With Us is a movie based on the book of the same name by Colleen Hoover.

Blake revealed to PEOPLE that she was wearing Britney's actual dress. She wore a multicolored sequenced vintage Versace dress that had flowers across her waist and a butterfly on the chest. The dress was also a one-shoulder halter neckline with cutout throughout.

She said: "It is Britney's actual dress. It should be in the Smithsonian or the Met. But it's on me. I feel so lucky!"

On Tuesday, Blake posted a picture of Britney wearing the Versace dress on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, August 6 with a caption and Britney's song, Everytime.

She wrote: "Today's mood. The ultimate queen who made us all want to sparkle and write and share our stories." She continued: ""Britney, us millennials all have a story of a moment, or of years that you made us want to shine and inspire awe, with strength, and joy and immensely hard work. Thank you for your example and your contribution to women telling their stories. So excited about your biopic and all you have to come."
