The Dia Art Foundation established Dia Bridgehampton in 1983. Artist Dan Flavin designed it, converting a firehouse into a permanent display for his fluorescent light works. Today, the foundation maintains Flavin's nine works, collectively called the Dan Flavin Art Institute.

Dia Bridgehampton not only houses Flavin's work permanently but also hosts temporary exhibitions annually. These exhibitions take place in the first-floor gallery, offering a platform for other artists and a changing experience for visitors.

Bloomberg Philanthropies funds this project. The project team includes Rachel Wolff and Jonathan Sanden, who conducted interviews, and Noah Therrien and Stephen Parnigoni, who handled filming and editing.

Roeaudionews and ANGINC provided the project's music, courtesy of Jamendo. Katherine Ellis and Dan Wolfe managed the production, with Svetlana Kitto in charge of copyediting and Jenn Kane overseeing rights and reproductions.

The Dia Art Foundation owns the copyright for all Dan Flavin's works. Special thanks go to Heiner Friedrich and Stephen Flavin. The foundation continues to make Flavin's fluorescent light works available to the public.
