The "Behind the Scenes Curator Tour" is set to offer a rare glimpse into the annals of naval history aboard the USS Little Rock, the world's last remaining Cleveland-class cruiser.

On Saturday, May 18, from 1pm to 3pm, join Shane Stephenson, the park's esteemed Curator and Director of Museum Collections, for a deep dive into the life of these historic vessels. This unique tour is not just a walk through time; it is an opportunity to understand the complexities involved in preserving these massive artifacts for posterity.

Participants will be granted access to areas of the USS Little Rock and USS The Sullivans typically off-limits to the public, including spaces that showcase the operational intricacies of these ships. Additionally, attendees will be able to closely examine the main deck of PTF-17, adding another layer of naval history to the experience.

Given the intimate nature of this tour, space is limited to only 11 individuals per session, ensuring a personal and comprehensive experience. Due to the physical demands of navigating the ships, including steep ladders and narrow passageways, the event is not recommended for children under the age of 11, and attendees are advised to dress comfortably with closed-toe shoes.
