Calling all runners, walkers, and lemur lovers! The Ross Park Zoo is hosting a unique event that will have you looping for a cause. On Saturday, May 18, from 7am to 1pm, the "Loop the Lemur at the Ross Park Zoo" invites participants to circle the lemur exhibit as many times as possible, greeting Menabe and Rizzo, the charming black-and-white ruffed lemurs.

These furry zoo celebrities have often pondered why farewells are scarce as visitors leave. In response, the zoo has crafted an event to ensure these lemurs get the attention they deserve. By looping past their habitat, you can wave, snap selfies, and maybe even receive a lemur cheer!

Participants can choose from a 6-hour, 2-hour, or 1-hour event, or join the family-friendly Lemur to Leopard Fun Run. The challenge is to complete as many laps of the 0.8-mile loop inside the zoo as you can, by any locomotion you fancy.

After the event, celebrate your achievements at the Tail-Gate Party, complete with food, beverages, and live music. All registrants will be rewarded with a custom Loop the Lemur shirt, a medal, and party access. Plus, the top finishers will receive special awards.

A portion of the proceeds will support the Ross Park Zoo's conservation efforts for endangered species like Menabe and Rizzo. So, mark your calendars and register before May 6 to avoid a price increase. It's not just about the race; it's about making a difference for our lemur friends.
