Isles Lab Releases Ebbets Field Flannel Line Featuring New Islanders Logos

With the NHL switching from Adidas to Fanatics for its on-ice uniforms, the New York Islanders ' identity will seemingly remain untouched.

1However, the team is further diversifying its brand off the ice, releasing a new line of products in collaboration with Ebbets Field Flannels featuring new logos and wordmarks.

The first images of the new branding surfaced on Thursday night, showcasing an overlapping "NYI" logo with a distinct "Islanders" wordmark on a hockey puck.

It is aptly titled "Islanders Retro NYI Puck" on the team's online shop.

Traces of the new branding don't end there.

Taking the first three words of the keyphrase, several other products surface, including shirts and hats, among other items.

The puck itself is made by Mustang Products, the team's usual producer, but the remaining products are made by Ebbets Field Flannels. '

Clicking on "Ebbets" under these products leads to the remainder of this new line.

Ebbets Field Flannels is largely mired in producing apparel inspired by the mid-20th century. While they were largely inspired by vintage baseball uniforms, taking inspiration from the home of the Brooklyn Dodgers, they've produced similar merchandise based on defunct hockey and football teams.

Browsing this section of the website brings up more hoodies, sweatpants, and hats, both with and without the new logos mentioned.

Further details on the specifics of the logo are not provided in the item descriptions.

The Islanders are not likely to use the mark in an on-ice capacity, but it could be continuation of working with new designers and companies to further their brand.

The puck is available for shipping, but the remaining items are all presale only as of now. All new products from Ebbets are currently available for preorder and will ship by Sept. 6.
