The family of the Oklahoma City man who slaughtered his wife and three of their kids said in a new interview they will not let the bewildering murder-suicide “define” them as they care for the one son who survived.

The wife’s side of the family refuses to mention Jonathan Candy’s name in the weeks after he fired at his wife, Lindsay, and “hunted” down his three sons — Dylan, 18, Ethan, 14, and Lucas, 12 — before turning the gun on himself, they told Fox News Digital.

The family’s focus has since turned to the 10-year-old boy who was inexplicably left unscathed, and who woke up to find his entire family dead.

“My nephew is a sweetheart, and he’s going to need a lot of help to get through this,” the boy’s uncle Brent Remerowski told the outlet.

“People loved the kids. I’ve gotten a ton of messages from everyone. It’s truly heartwarming the love people have for them.”

Lindsay’s family has since taken in the boy, and spent the first heartbreaking weekend doting on him.

They all reminisced on the legacies of Lindsay, Dylan, Ethan and Lucas cut too soon, but have pointedly left Jonathan Candy’s name out of their storytelling.

An online fundraiser for the boy titled “Help Lindsay Candy’s Surviving Son” even points to the family’s dedication to erase the killer’s memory.

“He’s got plenty of distractions (right now),” Remerowski said. “I just think about when all the attention ends and everything.”

The 10-year-old was the one to call 911 the morning of April 22 after waking up to discover what police described as “carnage.”

Early that morning, Jonathon Candy escalated an argument with his wife into an “unspeakable tragedy” when he grabbed the firearm and “systematically went through the home shooting and killing the children,” said Sgt. Gary Knight.

Why the fourth boy was spared “is a question that’ll never have an answer,” he added.

The reason for the tragedy is also a mystery — police had no previous contact with the family, and there was no history of domestic abuse.

How did he not hear the gun shots? Was it a silencer? So odd that he spared only one of the kids?? So much doesn’t make sense. That kid is scarred for life, what he seen will be forever imbedded into his brain!! So sad I just don’t understand these kinds of people?
