A Georgia Chick-fil-A employee fought for his life against a gun-wielding burglar who broke into the store and threatened to kill him, dramatic footage of the brawl shows.

The delivery driver was alone inside the Stone Mountain fast food joint when the 51-year-old suspect, Tommie Lee Williams, used a rock to smash through the drive-thru window at around 4:30 a.m. on July 1, according to the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office .

Williams — who wore a mask over his head — stormed into the kitchen area and told the victim “he was going to die if he didn’t open the safe and pointed a handgun at him” — but the employee did not know the combination of the safe, police said.

Security footage from inside the restaurant released by the sheriff’s office shows Williams, with a gun in his hand, and the unidentified employee trading blows to the head in a back room as they fought over the gun.

The employee was able to remove Williams’ black mask from his face in the several minutes-long struggle until he fled through the rear of the restaurant. He had already disappeared when authorities responded.
