The Giants have another quarterback injury to manage.

Drew Lock, who exited Thursday’s preseason game against the Lions in the first quarter, is expected to miss time but not undergo surgery, as first reported by NFL Network.

He is dealing with a hip pointer and a strained oblique, The Post confirmed.

The fallout is the Giants might no longer be faced with a tough decision on whether or not to keep third-stringer Tommy DeVito on cut day.

Despite general manager Joe Schoen saying during the FOX broadcast that Lock could’ve returned to Thursday’s game if needed, head coach Brian Daboll seemed to sense early Friday that something bad was brewing even before meeting with head trainer Ronnie Barnes.

“It could be longer than a couple days,” Daboll said.

The Giants already are taking a cautious approach with starting quarterback Daniel Jones, who is coming off a season in which he suffered the second major neck injury of his career and a torn ACL.

Daboll turned to DeVito last year when both Jones and backup Tyrod Taylor were injured, and now Jones’ new top backup is headed to the shelf for an unknown length of time.

It is unknown whether Lock has a Grade 1, Grade 2 or Grade 3 oblique strain.

The second-team practice snaps in store for DeVito represent an opportunity for him to get off the bubble.

The Giants do not usually carry three quarterbacks on the active roster during the regular season, so DeVito could’ve been squeezed out of a healthy depth chart.

Daboll was “potentially” planning to add a quarterback if Lock was sidelined entering a week that culminates Saturday against the Texans.

The odds of that scenario coming to fruition increased after the diagnosis, even if Jones makes his preseason debut.
