Second gentleman Doug Emhoff was in Paris to take in Team USA’s gold medal win over France , seated right next to French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte.
So too were NBC host Jimmy Fallon, American sprinter Sha’Carri Richardson , 1992 Dream Team member Scottie Pippen, former Knicks star Carmelo Anthony, former French point guard Tony Parker and former Lakers star Pau Gasol.
The list of those in attendance also included Stephon Marbury — who sat with Anthony and Pippen — and Rapinoe’s former USWNT teammates Ali Krieger and Tobin Heath.

The hype around this final far exceeded that of previous gold medal games, in which the United States was a heavy favorite.
With a much tighter field in this year’s Olympics, Team USA getting pushed to the limit in the semifinal against Serbia and France playing in front of a home crowd in Paris, this year appeared to be far less of a foregone conclusion.
