USA Gymnastics emphasized its fight to seek justice for Jordan Chiles after the American gymnast was stripped of her bronze medal from the floor exercise final at the Paris Olympics on Aug. 5.

The 23-year-old Chiles was stripped of her first individual Olympic medal after the Romanian gymnastics team challenged her final score of 13.766.
They challenged it after judges upped her original score (13.666) by .1 after validating an appeal from Team USA coach Cecile Landi to increase the level of difficulty on an element final score, which put her above Romania’s Ana Bărbosu and Romanian teammate Sabrina Maneca-Voinea, and in third place to the podium for bronze.
