The Bills got some unwelcome injury news on Thursday.

The team announced that star linebacker Matt Milano is out indefinitely after tearing his bicep in practice.

“An unfortunate situation,” head coach Sean McDermott told reporters on Thursday .

“[Matt’s] got a good family behind him that’s going to support him, teammates that are going to support him, as well as the coaching staff and entire football organization.”

Caleb Williams does it all in stellar Bears preseason debut

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that the team hopes he will be able to return in December.

McDermott added that Milano, 30, suffered the injury while working on a drill on a tackling bag.

It is a rough break for Milano, who suffered a season-ending leg injury during a Week 5 game against the Jaguars last season.

Josh Allen has curious response to Stefon Diggs question: ‘Don’t know if I’d say miss’

“When you know the person, you know this is not going to beat or keep Matt Milano down,” McDermott said. “He stayed in Buffalo all summer to get back off the leg injury, and now this happens. It’s an unfortunate set of circumstances, but again, I know he’s going to handle it well.”

Milano had been a first-team All-Pro and Pro Bowler during the 2022 season.
