Mets fans were saying “OMG” on Sunday but it wasn’t for anything good.

The series finale between the Mets and Marlins was broadcast as part of the Roku MLB Sunday Leadoff package with Marlins announcer Paul Severino doing play-by-play and Anthony Recker from MLB Networking doing analysis.

But the stylings of Severino didn’t go over well with Mets fans, especially when Brandon Nimmo hit a solo home run into the second deck in right field at Citi Field to give the Mets a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning.

The lack of enthusiasm from Severino on the call irked the Mets faithful who took to social to express their displeasure over it.

“A second-deck home run for Nimmo and two-one Mets lead,” Severino said with like change in the inflection of his voice.

“Games without Gary Cohen suck. That was the most boring hr call I’ve ever seen,” one user on X wrote .

“Totally sucked, Paul Severino is no Gary Cohen,” another person wrote about the home run call.

“‘National broadcasters’ for Roku and it’s just the Marlins main announcer, like what’s even the point in something like this?” another user asked.

The broadcasters weren’t the only issues that appeared to be a problem as fans complained on social media over the lack of accessibility to the game broadcast and issues with the stream, according to Awful Announcing.

The Mets fell to the Marlins in the end 3-2 in a game they needed to come away with a win with a tough schedule in front of them.

The Mets will face the Orioles in a three-game series in Queens before departing to face the Padres in four games and then traveling to face the Diamondbacks in a three-game set

Nimmo also exited the game in the eighth inning with right shoulder soreness after he made a diving catch and will undergo an MRI exam on Monday further dampening the Mets’ day.
