I stayed in a $1-a-night Airbnb — you won’t believe what I found there

It offers a lot of Bangkok for your buck.
A dollar accommodation might seem like a pipe dream amid worldwide inflation. However, a resourceful US backpacker was indeed able to score an Airbnb for just one dollar a night in Bangkok, Thailand, which he reviewed and shared online.
“I paid one dollar for this Airbnb and I’m going to show you guys inside,” gushed the content creator and prankster, named Mike Rari, in the “Cribs”-style video, per Viral Press.
The exact location of the rental unit is unclear, however, it’s reportedly a 10-minute drive from the Thai capital’s Chinatown.
The accompanying footage shows the globetrotter, who boasts thousands of subscribers on YouTube , climbing a ladder of a rickety compound on stilts to access a front porch made of “scrap wood.”
Rari then flings open the door to his budget abode to reveal a floor cot swaddled in mosquito netting, a trash can, a fan and a drawer for his valuables.
Rari also showed off an outdoor laundry station, workout equipment and a kitchen area, which essentially boiled down to a table with appliances such as a rice cooker, boiler, and fridge.
Meanwhile, rounding out the dollar bin digs were a shared toilet and shower — a bucket the renter filled and dumped over themself. There was also a locked cabinet that can be rented out for around 3 cents.
It’s safe to say the accommodation offered a lotta of Bangkok for your buck.
While the rental might seem a bit ramshackle, it’s perhaps a steal compared to some other rental flats, which didn’t offer close to what their listing advertised.
