The second event of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup playoffs, the BMW Championship is officially underway, with the roster of golfers cut down to those ranked 50 and above in PGA standings.

As is typically the case, the favorites to win this BMW Championship are names often floating near the top of the standings: Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, and Rory McIlroy, who are first, second, and fifth in overall standings.

Last week’s FedEx St. Jude Championship was won by Hideki Matsuyama (currently third in the PGA Tour standings).
