Gerrit Cole was charged with a pre-inning pitch clock violation once again.

Before the second inning of the Yankees’ matchup with the Guardians Thursday afternoon in The Bronx commenced, Cole threw an extra pitch during warmups and home plate umpire Derek Thomas docked the Yankees ace.

Cole started off behind in the count and ultimately walked Noel.

It’s the second time Cole has been hit with a pitch-clock violation before the start of an inning this season, after the 33-year-old failed to throw his final warm-up pitch until there were 20 seconds left on the clock in the Bombers’ 6-1 win over the Rays on July 19.
