‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ claws its way back to No. 1 beating out ‘Alien: Romulus’

The boys are back in town.

“Deadpool & Wolverine” clawed its way back to No. 1 on Friday, finishing its fourth week in theaters.

After being dethroned last week by the theatrical debut of “Alien: Romulus,” the Marvel superhero flick reigned supreme at the box office once again, raking in $4.8 million, according to The Numbers .

The film has already surpassed $1.154 billion in revenue worldwide, making it the eighth highest-grossing superhero movie ever, according to Collider .

“Alien: Romulus” landed in second, with a $4.5 million take.

Within one week of its release, the sci-fi horror flick, which cost $80 million to make, has already surpassed $50 million at the domestic box office, as per ScreenRant .

The romantic drama “It Ends With Us,” an adaption of Colleen Hoover’s 2016 novel, remained steady at No. 3, bringing in $3.825 million.

The highly buzzed-about film, which has made headlines for reported drama between its stars Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, may be getting a sequel, following in the footsteps of the book.

“I mean, we have the option on it,” Baldoni, who also served as the movie’s director, told Variety .

“I haven’t even begun to think that far ahead. I’m trying to stay in the present as much as I can.”

Zoë Kravitz’s directorial debut “Blink Twice,” starring her fiancé Channing Tatum , landed in fourth, with sales of close to $2.9 million.

The Post called the psychological thriller, which was released Friday, “a captivating, freaky private island thriller.”

Biblical drama “The Forge” took fifth place with $2.425 million in sales. It is a sequel to 2015’s “War Room,” which earned $68 million domestically.

The film was directed by the Kendrick Brothers, and the Washington Times called it the trio’s “most complete and polished work.”
