The Jets announced some changes in their front office on Saturday.

The team promoted Jon Carr and Greg Nejmeh to co-directors of player personnel.

Carr had been the director of college scouting and Nejmeh was the director of pro personnel.

They replace Chad Alexander, who left as director of pro personnel in January to become the assistant general manager of the Chargers.

Nejmeh and Carr have both been with the Jets for many years.

They will now advise general manager Joe Douglas on all personnel matters while also directing the team’s scouting departments, both pro and college.

Interestingly, the Jets have not replaced Rex Hogan, who was the assistant general manager and was fired in January.

It appears the Jets are going to operate without that position moving forward.

The Jets also announced several other promotions. Dan Zbojovsky is now the senior director of personnel operations.

Longtime scout Jay Mandolesi is the new director of college scouting.

Nick Sabella is now the senior director of football administration.

David Socie, who was the senior director of football administration, is now the senior director of football strategy.

Evan Ardoin is now co-assistant director of pro personnel.

Jordan Burton was promoted to national football scouting (NFS) scout.

Jets coach Robert Saleh has been impressed with how quarterback Aaron Rodgers has moved in training camp.

“He’s got plenty of mobility. He showed it in Carolina. He’s been showing it in practice,” Saleh said. “It was really cool for him to do it again. There was obviously a couple of off-schedule throws that he made. You can tell that he’s gaining more and more confidence in it because he’s not afraid to run and leave the pocket.

“He’s been doing it if you guys notice during our routes on air, during individual and group install, he manufactures off-schedule plays, just to make sure that, one, the guys are on their P’s and Q’s, and him, he’s getting his work in, so the mobility’s there. He’s got plenty of mobility to create off-schedule.”

Rodgers is 40 years old and coming off a major injury, so mobility may have been the biggest question mark about him entering this season.
