Three Jets takeaways in their 10-6 preseason finale win over the Giants on Saturday night at MetLife Stadium:

    1. Takk McKinley has been performing well all summer for the Jets and he capped it off with a 2 ½ sack performance on Saturday night.

McKinley, the former first-round pick of the Falcons, appears to have a roster spot locked up.

Jets’ Israel Abanikanda makes case to make squad with long TD run

    2. Undrafted free agent Leonard Taylor was in on three straight sacks of Tommy DeVito.

Taylor got half of a sack on each one. It was an impressive streak.

Taylor also had a tackle for loss.

If there were any doubt about him making the team, he probably erased it in this game.

Another undrafted free agent, defensive end Braiden McGregor had two sacks.

    3. I’d give the edge to Adrian Martinez over Andrew Peasley in the battle for the third quarterback spot, which likely will be on the practice squad.

Martinez has a knack for extending plays that makes him worth keeping around.
