A wild shootout erupted at a Bronx bar Monday, when a booted patron came back with a gun and blasted a cook — before being shot himself by an off-duty parole officer and futilely trying to make a getaway in his SUV.

Padrika Thompson, who was free on a separate 2023 shooting rap, allegedly sparked the Labor Day gun play shortly after 1:45 am. at Kutty Bar & Lounge on Boston Road, according to sources.

The 40-year-old gunman had been kicked out of the watering hole, before grabbing a gun from his vehicle and coming back shooting, hitting the bar’s 37-year-old cook in the right leg.

But an off-duty and armed state parole officer was at the scene and returned fire, hitting Thompson multiple times in the torso, according to police and sources.

The wounded shooter managed to make his way out to his white SUV and tried to flee, but crashed into a pole nearby.

“I heard a boom,” an eyewitness told The Post on Monday. “Like a car crash. I looked out the window and I saw a car crashed into a pole.

“There are a lot of fights in there,” he said of the bar, describing the pub’s clientele as “street people.

“I don’t go in there. It’s not the type of place I would go.”

Police said both victims were rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where the cook is listed in stable condition and the gunman is listed in critical condition following the early-morning shootout.

    The incident is under investigation.

One local, pizzeria worker Juan Hernandez, maintained that Kutty Bar & Lounge has not been a neighborhood concern.

“They don’t have a lot of riff-raff,” said Hernandez. “It’s an isolated case. Most of the people who come in are older gentlemen. Their patrons are usually mature people like 30 or 40.”

According to sources, Thompson already has an open shooting case stemming from an Oct. 29 shooting on White Plains Road in the Bronx.

He allegedly fired nine rounds in a drive-by shooting and struck a 34-year-old man in the buttocks, the sources said.

Thompson is due back in court on that case on Thursday.
