Footage showed female staff from the company sitting around a conference room as leadership revealed the initiative.
Staff reacted with surprised and excitement over the news. One staff member shared a video showing how she took advantage of the plan by going on a date during the day.
The date included a walk in the park while the woman’s romantic prospect fed her watermelon on a skewer.
It all began after one staff member complained about being too busy to date and thus the Tinder Leave was introduced.
However, staff aren’t just getting days and nights off to meet with potential suitors. Whiteline Group is also paying for six-month long Tinder Gold and Tinder Platinum subscriptions for its staff.
Tinder Gold allows users to see what profiles have liked them, they have unlimited likes and can match with people from all over the world.
Meanwhile, Tinder Platinum allows users to send a note with every superlike, your profile will get in front of people you’ve liked quicker and a monthly boost to be one of the top profiles in your area for 30 minutes.
The idea is that if customers find “The One” their productivity and wellbeing will be boosted.
Whiteline Group managers also said that some research indicates that being in love increases happiness therefore making work more enjoyable.
A study by Brendon McConnell at the University of Southampton in 2023 found that “married individuals earn higher hourly wages than their single counterparts, the so-called marriage wage premium”.
“The men’s premium has been long established, while for women, the relationship between being married and wages has evolved from a penalty to a premium over the last decades,” the study read.
