The 49ers might be at full strength for the Jets after all.

San Francisco got a double dose of positive news on Tuesday morning with reports that stud left tackle Trent Williams is ending his holdout and signing a new deal, while star running back Christian McCaffrey is returning to practice later in the day after missing time with a calf strain.

That makes both likely to play on Monday when the 49ers play host to Aaron Rodgers and the Jets on “Monday Night Football” after wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk also signed a new deal with the team last week to end his volatile holdout.

Williams returned to San Francisco to sign his new contract, his agency, Elite Loyalty Sports , confirmed Tuesday on social media.

Williams was also seen in a video posted by his brother, Fred Williams, preparing to board a private jet and head to training camp.

Aiyuk, who had his boots dug in on a holdout himself, re-signed in late August on a four-year, $120 million contract, and now Williams figures to again be one the highest-paid left tackles in the NFL.

The 49ers’ negotiations with Aiyuk and Williams played out in dramatic fashion — particularly in Aiyuk’s case — all offseason before getting done near the finish line.

Williams, 36, signed a six-year, $138 million contract in 2021, making him the highest-paid left tackle in NFL history.

He’s since been relegated to the sixth-highest salary in the league while making the Pro Bowl in three consecutive seasons as the blindside blocker for Jimmy Garoppolo and now Brock Purdy.

San Francisco has enjoyed significant success thanks to Williams, including a wild 6.05 yards per carry when rushing behind Williams. The 49ers average just 4.45 yards per carry on all other running plays.

McCaffrey, who totaled 2,023 yards and 21 touchdowns last season for the NFC champions, is often the benefit of Williams’ ability.

With Williams and Aiyuk’s return to the team, the 49ers moved from 3.5-point favorites to four-point favorites on DraftKings .
