Candice Miller, the influencer and recent widow of real estate developer Brandon Miller, has taken up residence in a Florida apartment owned by a von Fürstenberg family member, according to the Real Deal .
The “Mama and Tata” blog runner, 42, whose late husband died by suicide in the Hamptons on July 3 at the age of 43 while facing a mountain of debt, has officially moved into a condo unit at the Continuum South Beach complex, according to a bond petition she filed last month in New York that lists the new address, the outlet reports. The building stands in Miami Beach.
The three-bedroom, 4.5-bathroom abode was purchased last year for $10 million by a trust linked to Alexander von Fürstenberg, son of the fashion mogul Diane von Fürstenberg and her late ex-husband, Prince Egon von Fürstenberg.
Candice is connected to the von Fürstenbergs through Alexander’s wife, the model Alison von Fürstenberg, who also goes by Ali Kay. Alison and Alexander have been friends with Candice for years, even hosting a launch party for “Mama and Tata” at their California compound back in 2017 .
Candice, a mother of two — who was reportedly shocked to learn that her family was in millions of dollars worth of debt — made the move to Miami with “financial” assistance from friends, Page Six reported last month.
“Candice was blindsided by Brandon’s death, but she has some very supportive friends and family who have all stood by her and are helping her financially and in any other ways they can,” a source told the outlet at the time, with another source adding that “Candice wants to be able to start anew and be closer to family.”
Before Brandon — who was the principal partner at Real Estate Equity Corporation — died, the family were well-known Hamptons socialites, but their attempt at keeping “up with the Bezos” ultimately amounted to some $17 million in debt. Brandon passed away after being found by the local fire department unconscious in the garage of the family’s $8 million home in the posh Water Mill area after a carbon monoxide alarm went off, The Post previously reported .
