The grisly discovery was made by cops who responded to a call reporting “suspicious activity” in a wooded area off Nassau Road in Huntington Station around noon, according to Suffolk County police.

“This is unbelievable,” area resident Flavio Ribadeneyra told News12 Long Island . “You would never think that something like that would happen in your building or around your building!”

The suitcase was found deeper in a wooded area near the apartment complex. It is unclear how long it was there for or how long ago the person inside had died.
