This is the funny moment a young girl “stole” her neighbor’s dog and replaced him — with a stuffed toy replica.

Olivia Myers, 7, has been best friends with Gunnar, an 11-year-old husky, since they met two years ago.

Gunnar’s owner, Amanda Sullian, 38, has admired and encouraged their friendship since it began.

Gunnar and Olivia play together daily, which has led to an ongoing joke between Amanda and Olivia about whom Gunnar actually belongs to.

Olivia previously threatened to steal Gunnar and replace him with a cuddly toy, but Amanda laughed it off.

Little did she know that the little girl was serious and planned to execute her plan.

Funny surveillance footage shows Olivia sneaking into Amanda’s backyard, calling Gunnar away and laying a stuffed husky toy in his place.

Amanda, from Gloucester, Massachusetts, said: “We’d been making this joke over the whole summer that she actually owns Gunnar, not me.

“When I got an alert from my backyard camera and saw what she was doing, I thought I’d let her play it out.

“I was laughing inside the house, which I think Gunnar heard, which explains why he was so hesitant to go with her.”

“I could see everything happening and they play together so often that I know they’ll be OK,” Gunnar said. Amanda Sullivan / SWNS

Olivia knows about the security camera and knew that Amanda wouldn’t worry about Gunnar being gone.

About five minutes after Olivia initially took Gunnar, Amanda went outside to meet them.

She said: “I wasn’t really worried at any point.

“I could see everything happening and they play together so often that I know they’ll be OK.”

Not cool. You steal my dog and I will track you down. It won’t end good for you, I don’t care how old you are.
