Ravens’ Marlon Humphrey calls Patrick Mahomes a ‘chubby fast dude’ in unique praise of Chiefs QB

Patrick Mahomes’ so-called “dad bod” has entered the chat once again.

Days after the Chiefs’ season-opening win against the Ravens, cornerback Marlon Humphrey spoke about the skillset of Kansas City’s star quarterback while making a curious remark about his overall physique.

“It’s hard to beat Mahomes,” Humphrey said on Wednesday’s installment of his “Punch Line” podcast, according to SI.com .

“What makes him very good is he just does … he really does some pretty wild stuff that sometimes catches him, but a lot of times doesn’t … He’s like a chubby fast dude. I’m always amazed when he’s just out-running people or just juking people in the backfield, getting out of a sack and just launching the ball.”

Mahomes threw for 291 yards with one touchdown and an interception in last Thursday’s 27-20 victory over the Ravens, while taking two sacks.

Although Mahomes’ play is typically in the spotlight, his frame became an internet talking point in January following the team’s AFC Championship win over Baltimore.

At the time, a shirtless Mahomes was featured in a clip on “Inside the NFL,” with the video making its way around social media.

Mahomes even weighed in on the chatter, posting on X , “Yoooo why they have to do me like that!?!?!? #DadBodSZN.”

The three-time Super Bowl winner — now chasing a third straight championship with the Chiefs — spoke about his “dad bod” in an April interview with TIME.

“I definitely have the dad bod a little bit,” he said. “I’ll also say I have a great body for a quarterback. You’ve got to have some padding in there to take the hits that we take.”

The Chiefs are going from one rivalry game to another this week when they host Joe Burrow and the Bengals, who are hoping to evade an 0-2 start.

As for Humphrey, who teased Mahomes’ teammate , Travis Kelce, over his $100 million podcast deal just last week, he and the Ravens face the Raiders (0-1) at home Sunday.
