After three years, Chipotle brings back fan-favorite menu item: ‘We are listening’

Chipotle announced that its beloved Smoked Brisket is returning to the menu for a limited time after a three-year hiatus.

The menu item was first offered in 2021 and was an instant hit, and fans have been anxiously waiting for its come back ever since.

The brand shared that the Smoked Brisket has one menu item that most customers request be brought back — and they’re doing just that.

“We are listening to our guests and bringing this fan-favorite menu innovation out of the vault after three years,” Chris Brandt, chief brand officer, said in a statement. “This premium protein is sure to delight guests looking to taste the difference of brisket prepared the Chipotle way.”

Chipotle lovers will be happy to know that the recipe has not changed over the past three years. The Smoked Brisket is made with Responsibly Raised beef and “seared on the plancha and seasoned with spices, including smoked serrano chili pepper and chipotle chili pepper.”

The protein option, which is prepared in small batches throughout the day for freshness, is then hand-chopped and finished in a brisket sauce made with smoky chili peppers.

If you’re new the world of Chipotle’s Smoked Brisket, the company’s vice president of culinary Nevielle Panthaky recommends a first-time order of a Smoked Brisket Burrito Bowl with white rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa and cheese.

To celebrate the highly anticipated return, Chipotle is offering a $0 delivery fee offer on all Smoked Brisket orders from Thursday, September 12 through Sunday, September 29 in the U.S. and Canada.

The offer is available for orders placed through the Chipotle app, Chipotle.com and Chipotle.ca.
