Justin Timberlake ordered to make excruciating public apology after taking sweetheart plea deal in drunk driving case

Justin Timberlake made a court-ordered apology as part of the plea deal that settled his highly publicized drunk driving case — as he urged others to never drink and drive.

“This is a mistake that I made but I’m hoping that whoever is watching and listening right now can learn from this mistake.” The pop music icon said. “Even one drink — don’t get behind the wheel of the car.”

The “SexyBack” singer pleaded guilty to a lesser charge of “driving while alcohol impaired” in connection to his DWI case in Sag Harbor, LI. In addition to the public statement, Timberlake was sentenced to community service.
