    New York City Mayor Eric Adams has been indicted by a grand jury on charges connected to a federal probe. Nearly a dozen suited-up federal agents arrived at Adams’ home, Gracie Mansion, in the early morning hours on Sept. 26 to search his official residence — just hours after Hizzoner became the first Big Apple mayor to be indicted in a federal probe.

    “I always knew that if I stood my ground for New Yorkers that I would be a target — and a target I became,” Adams said in a statement to The Post.

    “If I am charged, I am innocent, and I will fight this with every ounce of my strength and spirit.”
