In the midst of Helene’s assault on the Southeast and the formation of Isaac and Joyce this week, the Atlantic is showing no signs of stopping.

The National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring two additional areas across the basin for potential development — one in the Caribbean and another in the eastern Atlantic.

The area to watch that is nearest land is in the Caribbean.

According to the NHC, this broad area of low pressure has a low chance of development within the next seven days.

Environmental conditions could become favorable for the slow development of the system in the coming days.

It could potentially enter the Gulf of Mexico by the end of next week.
