Packers QB Jordan Love arrives in Brett Favre jersey after legend’s Parkinson’s reveal

The current Packers quarterback has shown some public Love to Green Bay legend Brett Favre.

Jordan Love paid tribute to Favre — who revealed earlier this week his battle with Parkinson’s disease — as he arrived at Lambeau Field by wearing a No. 4 Packers jersey before Sunday’s game against the Vikings.

Favre, who made the announcement while testifying earlier this week at a Congressional hearing on welfare reform, posted on X that he appreciated the gesture.

“Big respect to @jordan3love for wearing this old man’s jersey,” Favre wrote . “I didn’t think I could like Jordan anymore until this morning.”

Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who succeeded Favre in Green Bay, had said earlier this week that it was “tough” to learn of the 54-year-old Favre’s diagnosis.

“The older you get, and some of you know this, but mortality kind of gets thrown in our face a little bit more,” Rodgers said before Jets practice Wednesday in Florham Park. “It’s actually, unfortunately, more normal to hear about a death or a cancer diagnosis or a diagnosis like this. It doesn’t desensitize it for me.

“I mean, I feel bad for him, and [wife] Deanna. It’s unfortunately part of our game. That’s part of the risk of playing in the league, and we all in the back of our minds know that could be a reality at some point. We hope medicine at some point can catch up and either make the symptoms easier or eradicate some of these issues that we have.”

Love, 25, was under center Sunday for the first time since Week 1 when he suffered an MCL injury in a season-opening loss to the Eagles in Brazil.
