Videos referencing the song became a trend on the platform when the rapper said the fan who posted the best clip “at they job” would win $10,000 and the chance to be in a music video.
Ramirez and her colleagues lip-synced to the song while washing dishes, counting cash and eating waffles, and the video subsequently racked up 28.2 million views with 4.1 million likes.
But in a follow-up video with 14.1 million views, an emotional Ramirez claimed that she was let go from the restaurant chain after working at an Atlanta branch for six years.
“I just got fired because of that video of Big Latto’s challenge,” she said in the TikTok. “I’m glad I put six years into a company that would fire me in literally a day of posting one video that harms nobody, that everybody was actually literally rooting for and happy about.”
She shared that Waffle House allegedly put her on what she called an “EFR list,” which means “basically I can never get re-hired again.”
The Post has reached out to Waffle House for comment.

Ramirez posted an additional video explaining that it’s not against company policy to use their phones on the job — they’re just not allowed to talk poorly about the brand.
Additionally, she noted that there were two managers present at the time the video was recorded and “they know what was going on, and they said they didn’t want to have nothing to do with it” — but Ramirez added that “the same manager who fired me is the same manager that was there.”
She also claimed that she was the only one to get fired and no one else was written up.
But it wasn’t a negative ending for Ramirez because Latto took notice of the situation. The next video Ramirez posted was a Sept. 25 clip featuring her dancing again — with Latto herself, who handed her a stack of cash presumably totaling $10,000.
The Post has also reached out to Latto’s representatives for comment.

And now it seems Ramirez is ready to move on.
“Also, I’m good. I’m not sad. Just was sad in the moment. I do understand that life is about growth and blessings, I’m looking forward to my new path,” Ramirez added in the comments of one of her videos.
