Davante Adams wants out of Las Vegas.

The Raiders wide receiver, who has been linked to the Jets for some time, has informed the organization he would prefer to be traded, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport .

While a deal doesn’t appear imminent, the news comes amid growing speculation that Adams’ time in Sin City is coming to an end sooner rather than later and hours after he had given a noncommittal answer when asked about never playing another down as a Raider.

“All I can control is this talk we’re having right here. And then, after we’re done with this, all I can control is the next thing that I’m on to,” Adams said during an interview Tuesday morning on “Up & Adams with Kay Adams.”

“I’ma get up in a minute and go get a nice workout in, and that’s all I can control.”

Rumors have persisted linking the Jets and Adams , despite repeated reassurances from Adams previously that he was committed to the Raiders.

Now that the situation in Las Vegas appears to have changed, the two sides are likely to be linked again, especially after he was asked about missing Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers by Kay Adams.

“How could you not?” Adams replied.

Chatter around potential Adams movement seemed to ratchet up over the previous 24 hours, after a screenshot made its way around social media that appeared to show Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce liking a post on Instagram that indicated the receiver may be traded.

Additionally, a report from the Las Vegas Review-Journal published Tuesday cited a league source that the Raiders are open to the idea of trading Adams and that the relationship between the Raiders coach and star wide receiver has deteriorated.

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported that Vegas would “consider” a trade package that included a second-round pick and additional compensation.

During the Tuesday morning interview, Adams said that he had not heard from his head coach and he didn’t “really know exactly what that was about” in regards to the Instagram post.

“It’s one of those situations where I just keep my head down and keep doing my thing and let the chips fall where they may,” Adams said. “There’s been no communication with anybody from the team since that became a thing, but it’s kind of just like the weekly, ‘What’s up with Tae?’ thing. It’s always some sort of drama. But, at the end of the day, 17 doesn’t create any of it.”

“So, people can say what they want, but I’m just chilling and trying to be the model for not stirring the pot and just locking in and doing what I got to do.”

Adams said on Tuesday that hearing his name involved in constant trade speculation “gets annoying,” though that isn’t likely to die down anytime soon now.

The relationship between Adams and Rodgers from their days together in Green Bay certainly has driven part of the speculation around the receiver potentially coming to New York.

While Adams has pushed back on the idea that he had been the driving force behind the rumors of a potential reunion with Rodgers, he has waxed poetic about the man he called a teammate for eight seasons with the Packers.

“The thought of playing with Aaron is obviously amazing,” Adams said in July on the “Club Shay Shay” podcast. “I already know what that’s like — which is similar to why I came here and reunited with Derek [Carr] was ’cause I had familiarity with him. And anytime you have that, it gives you a little bit more confidence than starting fresh with somebody you’ve never played with before, and it helps when they’re the best to ever play the game — or at least that’s how I feel. I don’t know how you feel about that, but that’s certainly how I feel, and [Rodgers has] given me an opportunity to show the world what I can do.”

Adams had 669 catches, 8,121 yards and 73 touchdowns while teammates with Rodgers for those eight seasons in Green Bay.

This season, Adams has 18 catches for 209 yards and one touchdown with the Raiders. He missed last Sunday’s game against the Browns after missing practice on Thursday due to a hamstring issue.
