King Charles desperately misses his “darling boy” Prince Harry as the pair’s rift continues to widen, a royal expert has suggested.

The estranged duo did not see each other during Harry’s quick trip to London earlier this week, meaning that the monarch, 75, has only seen Harry, 40, once this year when he flew to the UK in February after hearing of his father’s cancer diagnosis.

And according to royal expert Hilary Fordwich, a royal reconciliation is looking unlikely due to Prince William’s resolute stance on his brother ever returning to the royal fold.

“If anyone would relent, it would be King Charles III, whom, of course, Prince William won’t challenge,” Fordwich told Fox News . “[He] still misses his ‘darling boy’ and would like to see more of Prince Harry.”

“However, to this day, after the release of [his memoir] ‘Spare’ and the Netflix series, as well as with everything else Harry has said, done and not done – it’s Prince William who adamantly refuses to even speak to his brother.”

“With Prince Harry, it’s all an issue of trust,” she continued. “Prince William is the most unlikely royal to ever forgive Harry for all his despicable indiscretions.”

“He is now very much seen and accepted as the family enforcer, taking on the hard-line ruler role of his grandfather, Prince Philip.”

“In this capacity, it’s widely known within the family that Prince William has laid down an absolute ban on Harry returning in any way, shape or form to his former royal family fold,” she added.

The Post has reached out to Buckingham and Kensington Palaces for comment.

It comes as palace sources claimed that Queen Camilla urged Charles to avoid meeting up with Harry to avoid unnecessary stress during his cancer battle, a friend of the royal’s told the Daily Beast .

In July, the Prince of Wales, 42, was reported to have placed an “absolute ban” on his younger brother ever coming back as a working royal.

The pair — who once boasted a close friendship — have been completely estranged ever since the Sussexes quit royal life in 2020 and moved to the US.

The pair’s already damaged bond was made worse with the release of Harry’s bombshell memoir “Spare” in January 2023.

In addition to the protocol-shattering book, Harry and wife Meghan Markle worked on a series of tell-all projects, each of which revealed new details about life in the palace.

The duo sat down for a tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021, and later released their six-part Netflix documentary, “Harry & Meghan,” in which they dished on life in the palace.
