The Yankees poked fun at the cold reception that Jazz Chisholm Jr. got from the Kansas City crowd during their champagne celebration after punching their ticket to the ALCS.

The Yanks knocked off the Royals on Thursday night in Game 4 in a 3-1 win , and inside the clubhouse, teammates doused Chisholm in champagne while booing him — a nod to the jeers Royals fans had been giving him while at bat in the series — which was something that the trade deadline acquisition loved.

“Oh, we love it,” Chisholm could be heard saying in a video posted by MLB.

Chisholm, when asking about the heated moment in the game that saw the benches clear on both sides , called out the Royals’ Maikel Garcia for his hard slide on Anthony Volpe.

What led to Yankees-Royals’ benches-clearing melee: ‘Tried to injure’

“I just felt like he tried to go and injure Volpe because he was being a sore loser,” Chisholm said. “He was talking a lot on Instagram and Twitter and stuff. I do the same thing, but I’m not gonna go and try and injure somebody if they’re winning a game.”

Chisholm basked in the glory of being the villain of the ALDS after he said that the Royals had “got lucky” after Kansas City won Game 2 at Yankee Stadium.

Yankees and Royals ratchet up intensity as benches clear after Anthony Volpe’s hard tag

He was greeted by loud boos from Royals fans when the series shifted to Kansas City, and Chisholm told reporters after Game 3 that he had told catcher Salvador Perez, “I love this s–t.”

“It gets my juices flowing, it gets me going,” Chisholm said. “I’m hearing the loud noises and everything is going in my head. I’ve never seen anybody boo a bum.”

The Yankees added Chisholm on July 27 in a trade with the Marlins as the Yanks sat a game back of the Orioles in the American League East.

He hit .273 with 11 home runs in his 191 plate appearances in the regular season after the trade, helping the Yanks fend off the Orioles for the AL East crown.

The Yankees advance to face the winner of the series between the Tigers and Guardians.

The ALCS Series will begin Monday at Yankee Stadium.
