Tri-state residents should be wary of temperatures dropping as low as 30 degrees from Wednesday through Thursday morning, the National Weather Service said.

Low temperatures Wednesday morning come one day after New York City recorded its coldest morning in five months, Fox Forecast Center meteorologist Jordan Overton told The Post.

Powerful cold front set to sweep through communities already devastated by Helene, bringing freezing temps and snow

“Chilly start this morning, it will also be a little chilly to start tomorrow,” Overton said. “This is the coldest it’s been since May.”

While temps dipped in the Big Apple, more northern New Yorkers in parts of Dutchess and Ulster counties have already woken up to below-freezing temperatures this week.

Lower temperatures this week have also felt worse due to blustery winds, which exceeded 50 mph on Monday but were only expected to hit about 20 mph on Wednesday, according to NBC 4.

The average overnight low temperature in Central Park for mid-October is in the low 50s, though on Thursday, temperatures are expected to be about 10 degrees colder, the outlet reported.

The chill is expected to be short-lived, with temperatures likely jumping back up again this weekend.

“After today, temperatures will gradually start to warm just a smidge,” Overton said, with temps over the weekend expected to “get up into the 70s again.”

Chilly conditions can be expected in several Connecticut counties including northern Fairfield, northern Middlesex, northern New Haven and northern New London. Warnings were also issued for New Jersey’s western Passaic County and Orange and Putnam counties in New York.
