Wedding party accused of ‘tiered’ reception dinner: ‘Wealthier guests were served better than the rest’

Fat cats left this wedding with fat bellies. Broke folks were just left flat.

Chugging chilled champagne and chowing choice meats were luxuries reserved exclusively for the well-off attendees of a recent wedding. And the classiest act has social media savages throwing shade, rather than rice, at the “tacky” newlyweds.

“Wealthier guests were served better alcohol and food than the rest,” an outraged Redditor titled a virtual rant.

Under the cloak of online anonymity, the offended wedding guest explained that the groom comes from “an extremely wealthy family,” who threw a “no expense spared” shindig.

The guy’s cash-heavy kin footed the bill for the big day but wasn’t allowed to weigh in during the wedding planning process, per the viral post.

And after the bride and groom subjected their 150 well-wishers to a “blazing” hot outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour — sans passed hors d’oeuvre and abounding alcoholic sips  — the couple allegedly made friends and family with three hours for a seven-course dinner.

“It was buffet style at the tables, so when we got the ‘main [entree]’ it was steak,” said the disgruntled Reddit user. “It was four slices of steak for eight people.”

The insulted invitee continued, “two wine bottles were left at each table, and there was no bar during dinner.”

But the most egregious slap in the face, according to the complainer, was watching the rich enjoy first-rate fare while they choked down chum.

“We slowly started to realize that the ‘very wealthy’ guests at the wedding had been [given] a lot more, [like] high-end wine bottles, scotch [and] tequila,” wrote the wounded. “And a plethora [of] more food.”

Wedding guests often have a bone to pick with happy couples that cheap out with subpar reception grub.

A tight-wadded twosome recently endured a brutal digital bashing after serving instant ramen noodles , rather than plates of chicken and fish, to witnesses to their “I Do’s.”

After Valentine’s Day this year, a pair that had just been struck by Cupid’s arrow was struck with curses and epithets by internet trolls, who deemed them “tasteless” for charging wedding guests for their own food.

“To facilitate the planning process, we kindly ask that you include your contribution to the meals when you RSVP,”  the lovebirds wrote on their invitations, requesting $40 per adult celebrant and $20 for kids. Cyber critics on Facebook harshly labeled the thrifty mister and misses “tacky.”

Similar sentiments are now being expressed towards the couple who snubbed the Reddit whistleblower based on their bank account.

“’Tiered’ guests is a new, tacky thing,” spat a peeved commenter.

“What an embarrassment,” wrote an equally miffed onlooker.

“It’s unfathomable to me but not entirely surprising that people behave like this,” another scolded.

“Now you know how wealthy people stay wealthy — [by being] super cheap,” said a separate spectator. “If you go cheap you look bad to your own family and the new in laws.“

And that person’s two-cents is right on the money.

The Reddit grumbler concluded the wedding tirade saying, “At the end of the night there was no dessert, just a table of Oreo boxes and cut up apple slices.”

“Groom’s mother left in tears,” they revealed, adding, “because of how ashamed she was of how the majority of the guests [were] treated.”
