As partner-in-charge of EisnerAmper’s Long Island office, Michael Joy is responsible for office stewardship and growth, client service initiatives, talent maximization and day-to-day operations and administration. He also provides audit, review and compilation services for closely held and nonprofit companies in commercial and residential real estate, as well as other nonprofits and companies in the distribution and wholesale industries.

Prior to joining EisnerAmper, Joy was partner-in-charge of the real estate practice and a member of the executive committee at Raich Ende Malter & Co., a full-service accounting and auditing firm that joined EisnerAmper in 2022.

“We see a great deal of opportunity here on Long Island, as the construction, healthcare, and leisure and hospitality markets continue to grow,” Joy said. “As always, we’re very closely watching new developments like generative AI and the opportunities and efficiencies they can provide our clients.”

Joy formerly worked at two other public accounting firms. He also previously held the position of chief financial officer of a closely held healthcare provider on Long Island.

Currently, he serves as a board member of the Suffolk Chapter of the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants; he previously co-chaired the organization’s accounting and auditing committee for more than 10 years.

Born and raised on Long Island, he and his wife have raised two children here. Joy, who is active in the local community, was previously involved in Scouting, in which his son earned the rank of Eagle Scout and his daughter rose to the level of Girl Scout Ambassador.
