Granville’s Run for Theron scheduled for June

GRANVILLE — Preparations for the second Run for Theron are underway, and community members can help support the cause through a scholarship campaign.

Theron Rogerson, a 2021 Granville graduate, died in May 2022 by suicide. Rogerson was a student-athlete at Mount Vernon Nazarene.

The Run for Theron is set for 6 p.m. June 15 at Granville High School. It is a five-kilometer race with a one-mile fun run also available.

Thrive for Theron is a way for community members to lend a helping hand with the goal of suicide prevention throughout the year. All proceeds go toward The Theron Rogerson Scholarship, a $2,000 annual award to a Granville High School male student-athlete.
