    Roundup: Watkins Memorial girls tennis wins Reynoldsburg doubles event

    The Watkins Memorial girls tennis team won the first two courts Saturday, propelling the Warriors to the championship during the Reynoldsburg doubles tournament.

    Nora Grennan and Kaiya Minier were champions at No. 1 doubles. Payton Zerkle and Eva Barbour matched them at No. 2 doubles.

    Newark pair wins

    The duo of Bella Sherman and Analeigh Roy won the No. 2 doubles title for Newark during the Kokosing tournament at Mount Vernon Nazarene.

    Ella Riley won the No. 3 singles title for Granville.

    GIRLS GOLF

    Wigal ties mark

    Lydia Wigal fired a 68 at EagleSticks on Thursday to lead Granville to a runner-up finish during the Circle K Invitational.

    Wigal tied the school record set by her sister Ella and also placed runner-up individually. Avery Staten added a 74 for the Blue Aces, who totaled 307.
