    Licking County sheriff investigating homicide after finding body in Hanover Township

    Licking County Sheriff's detectives continue to investigate a homicide after finding a body Monday morning in Hanover Township.

    Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at 3:12 a.m. Monday in the 3000 block of Albright Road in Hanover Township, where they found Dale Matson, 48, dead at the scene, according to a news release.

    Detectives are investigating Matson’s death as a homicide. The department didn’t share any other details in the release.

    Authorities ask anyone with information about the case to call 740-670-5560.
