Rodger Thomas Memorial Kids fishing trip
Today, we had a sponsored trip from the Golden State Salmon Association aboard the Hog Heaven we hosted the Rodger Thomas Memorial Kids fishing trip. When Rodger passed he allocated funding in his estate to be able to provide kids the opportunity to get out on the ocean and experience fishing! The kids had a blast catching 9 Halibut up to 20lbs and 12 Striped bass. We also caught and safely released a salmon it was at that moment that we knew Rodger was looking down on us! Thank you to San Mateo PAL for getting this awesome group together!

Airport Death Match: Is SFO or OAK Faster to San Francisco?
As I mentioned in my trip report last week, I flew into SFO on a recent trip to the Bay Area but back out of Oakland. This wasn’t by design, but since I knew they were both pretty easy options from the city, I felt comfortable choosing the best flight times/prices out of either airport. Once we settled on going into one and out of the other, I knew it would be worth a comparison post. Let’s get it on.
